We’re proud to be supporting Abigail’s Footsteps as our charity of the year

Making strides for a cause that matters

Our charity of the year, Abigail’s Footsteps, is an incredible baby loss charity providing vital support and counselling for bereaved parents and families. As well as offering specialist bereavement training for midwives and healthcare professionals.

It’s a cause and charity that is close to our hearts. Having witnessed firsthand the profound impact of their work, we’re thrilled to announce our fundraising efforts are in full swing! All in memory of Oliver Gower. You can read Tom Gower’s story on our fundraising page.

Our fundraising efforts in full force

We have not one, but three different events lined up to raise money for Abigail’s Footsteps.

    • Sharon Stanley, Managing Director of GPM, is running the London Marathon on the 21st April 2024.
    • Sharon is also taking part in the Windsor Triathlon on the 9th June with a friend.
    • A group of GPM colleagues and ex-colleagues are taking in the 3 Peaks Challenge in 24 hours on the 14th September. This will involve climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales, in a short 24-hour period.

On our way to our target of £5,500

We set ourselves a big fundraising target of £5,500. We absolutely appreciate every kind donation and words of support for our fundraising.

Abigail’s Footsteps is funded entirely by donations and fundraising activities, so we’re pushing ourselves to maximise our fundraising efforts and support.

A message from Jayne, Oliver’s Mum

“What you guys are doing is absolutely amazing, a massive challenge, and not an easy one at that and I just wanted to say a massive thank you for doing this for Tom & I and more importantly, for Oliver 💙

The charity is amazing, and the money you will raise will help so so much, help families going through such an awful time, it’s totally invaluable and wouldn’t be possible without the kindness (and endurance!!) of wonderful humans like you!

Without this charity I don’t know how I would have coped.

You truly are an amazing group of people and I will be cheering you on all the way!!

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Good luck with your training!!

    Jayne xx”
