Designing Simplicity: How inFOCUS Puts User Experience First
We have one clear goal when developing the inFOCUS platform, and that’s to make it intuitive, clean and genuinely enjoyable to use. We want writing an insurance contract to feel simple.
So before any code is written, every new screen is built in Figma.
It’s All About the Prototype
Once fully briefed with a problem, our UX designer, Chris, will come up with a few interactive design options to solve it. We can then choose the best solution before it goes to the developer. This helps reduce time and helps the developers’ understanding of what’s next.
We prototype, click, break, and refine until the workflow feels right and best solves the problem at hand. And only then does the spec get passed on to the developers.
The result? Software that feels tailor made for our customers who live in it every day.
Meet the Mind Behind the Mock-ups
Krzysztof (Chris) Bartkowiak – Senior UX Designer at Future Processing / gpm
About Me
My name is Krzysztof (en. Chris), and I’m a Senior UX Designer with over 10 years of experience.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of helping businesses turn complex challenges into user-friendly solutions.
Finding the Sweet Spot
What I love most about being a designer is solving real problems. Finding that sweet spot where business goals, user needs, and modern technologies come together.
When done right, design doesn’t just improve a product. It creates innovation that makes a real difference.
Insurance Industry Specialist
For the past four years at Future Processing, I’ve focused on the insurance industry, developing a deep understanding of its complexities.
Yet, working with gpm has been especially exciting. The Lloyd’s of London market is truly unique. It blends rich tradition with a strong need for digital transformation.
I’m proud to be part of this journey, contributing to products that help reshape such a historic and demanding sector.
Making Complex Tasks Simpler
To me, UX is about more than just design. It’s about creating experiences that feel effortless and meaningful.
It ensures that technology truly serves people, making even the most complex tasks simpler and more human-centered.
That’s why I’m passionate about my work because great UX can genuinely transform the way people interact with the world around them.
Why It Matters
At gpm, we know our users don’t just want powerful systems – they want ones that are easy to use, fast to learn, and a pleasure to work in every day.
That’s why user experience isn’t an afterthought. It’s central to everything we build. From early design mock-ups to real-world feedback, we’re committed to creating software that simplifies the complex and supports the way you really work.
