Inside inFOCUS: How We’re Testing, Learning and Preparing for Launch

    Inside the inFOCUS Testing Process

As we move closer to the next stage of our inFOCUS rollout this summer, a huge amount of work is happening behind the scenes.

But we’re not developing this in isolation!

It’s a process shaped by real users, real workflows and real feedback from across the London Market.

From early demos to live usability testing sessions, we’ve been working closely with brokers and market participants to make sure inFOCUS delivers where it matters most.

Starting with Real Conversations: Demos Across the Market

Over the past few months, we’ve been running demos with brokers and partners across the market.

The response has been consistent and we’ve seen there’s a clear appetite for:

    • Simpler onboarding
    • Clearer, more structured contract data
    • Better visibility across the business

These sessions have also been invaluable in telling us what works, what doesn’t and what’s missing.

We really appreciate the level of openness from everyone involved in the demos and testing. It’s enabling us to build something genuinely useful, not just theoretically better!

Live User Testing with Future Processing

A key milestone in the process has been our live usability testing sessions, delivered in collaboration with our development partner Future Processing.

The goal was to see how intuitive our inFOCUS platform really is when people use it for the first time.

The feedback has been hugely valuable. First impressions highlighted:

    • A clean, modern interface that doesn’t feel overwhelming
    • Strong flexibility across the platform
    • A sense that “this could be really handy” in day-to-day workflows

At the same time, the sessions also surfaced areas for improvement:

    • Some gaps in information within contract lists
    • Moments where users needed guidance or hints
    • Opportunities to make certain actions more intuitive

Thankfully that’s exactly the point of testing at this stage and our development team are already working on it!

What’s Working (and What We’re Improving)

One area that stood out particularly strongly was template creation. Users consistently highlighted how much easier it felt to:

    • Build and structure templates
    • Add and organise sections
    • Adapt workflows to suit their needs

In fact, feedback described it as a clear upgrade on how things are typically done today.

Flexibility has also come up repeatedly and that’s a core principle of inFOCUS. Because no two brokers or users will work in exactly the same way.

We don’t want to force standardisation, but support different approaches while still maintaining structure, control and compliance.

    A Collaborative Way of Building

One of the most valuable outcomes of this process has been how collaborative it’s become. We never wanted to build a product behind closed doors and reveal it at the end.

Instead, it’s evolving in real time, shaped by feedback from demos, input from beta participants and observations from live testing sessions. We love seeing how people actually use the platform compared to how we expect them to.

Gearing Up for the next phase

As we head towards the next stage of our inFOCUS rollout (moving beta participants into a public trial phase) in July, this phase of testing and refinement is critical.

We’re challenging our assumptions and improving details and further usability.

We’re excited to be one step closer to delivering a platform that feels intuitive, practical and ready for the realities of the London Market.

Not another system to battle with, but something that helps people focus on what actually matters.
