    Case Study: How PJ Insurance Brokers Leverages gpm’s ibs Platform

    At gpm, we pride ourselves on delivering specialist software solutions tailored for the London Market. When PJ Insurance Brokers, part of The Broker Investment Group, needed a reliable broking system, they turned to gpm’s ibs platform – a system they were already familiar with from previous experience.

    We spoke with Stella Jones, Operations Manager, to hear how ibs has supported their operations, improved efficiency and adapted to their growing brokerage.

    Choosing gpm: Why ibs Stood Out

    1. What initially led you to work with gpm?

    I initially worked with gpm whilst at a previous company who used ibs. They had moved to ibs from an old broking system and ibs proved very easy to use.

    When we were looking for a broking system for one of our brokers in The Broker Investment Group I reached out to the team at gpm as I felt that ibs would be a good fit for our business model.

    2. What are the biggest benefits you experience from using gpm’s software?

    ibs is very quick and easy to set-up from the start. The system is, in the main, user configurable and allows a broker to do a wide range of business within the one system.

    There is a full end to end process from quote through to firm order, renewal and claims with the ability to produce all the documents required.

    3. What specific features or aspects of our software have been most beneficial to your workflow?

    The ability to record client details from the outset and produce a range of documents based on templates that we manage ourselves.

    4. Can you share any examples of how our software has helped you overcome specific challenges or improve efficiency?

    ibs has all the functionality that a London Market broker needs including a simple to use binder process – all the relevant details can be set-up in ibs by us without needing gpm to do this for us.

    5. Did you explore other software solutions when you first joined PJ Insurance / The Broker Investment Group? If so, what made gpm stand out?

    No, I didn’t explore other software solutions, the reason for this is over the years I have used 3 other Broking Systems and ibs stood out as the better system to use to meet the broking requirements of PJIB.

    6. How has gpm supported you through this transition and integration into a larger business?

    GPM has been great, their support team and client relationship manager has been on hand whenever a query has been flagged.

    7. How would you describe gpm’s customer support and service?

    gpm has a good service model both during implementation and once live. During implementation gpm staff walk you through the initial set-up and configuration of ibs for your business and then provide a fast and responsive helpdesk for any day-to-day questions or issues.

    8. What has been your experience working with the gpm team?

    The gpm team are very friendly and supportive and have a wide range of insurance experience that they use to help us manage our insurance business through ibs.

    9. How do you see gpm’s software continuing to support your business as part of a larger brokerage?

    gpm are very experienced to support us and work with us on as our business continues to grow.

    10. Are there any new features or integrations you’re excited about in the gpm platform?

    Since I last used ibs the team at gpm have been developing the reporting from ibs using the inFOCUS INSIGHT product – a suite of reports developed using Microsoft’s PowerBI.

    These reports help provide us a useful dashboard of information that we can use to see how our business is performing.

    11. What advice would you give to other brokers considering gpm’s solutions?

    Meet with the Team, provide them with a sample policy so they can show you the full cycle of a policy within ibs (complete end to end process).

    12. If you had to sum up your experience with gpm in one sentence, what would it be?

    GPM provide a stellar service and are very open minded on developing/enhancing their broking platform so ibs can be a tool used to enhance your business needs.

    13. Anything else you’d like to share?

    If you are looking for a system that “does what it says on the tin” with no unnecessary complicated processes, then ibs is a must.
