It’s all change at Velonetic
Following the appointment of new management in August, Velonetic has released the replan for Blueprint Two delivery.
The update session on October 7th, which many of our customers and partners attended, detailed the adjustments made to the testing and delivery process.
Here’s a closer look at our key takeaways, what’s new and how the revised plan might impact your operations.
Vanguard testing has got smaller
One major change from Velonetic is the scaling back of the Vanguard testing group, which was reduced in late September.
Initially involving a larger group, the current smaller team consists of just four brokers and four carriers.
The aim is to expand vanguard testing out again in Q1 2025 with the Customer Coordinated Testing (CCT) closely following that.
Our first successful DRI submission!
Despite being stood down from the larger Vanguard group, we were invited to test in October, and we’re thrilled to announce our first successful DRI submission.
This marks the first successful submission since early summer, and the improved signing messages we’ve received are promising.
What’s new?
Velonetic has introduced a new Vendor Testing stream, recognising the importance of closer collaboration with vendors to ensure solid connectivity before customers are involved.
This stream will operate separately from Vanguard testing and will feed into the rest of the Blueprint Two programme. Velonetic is currently inviting vendors to participate, with testing set to begin once the group is assembled.
We think this is a valuable addition and makes complete sense to get basic connectivity right before getting customers involved.
Replanning and go live
Velonetic chose not to confirm any new go-live dates just yet, a decision we agree with given the need for more extensive testing before setting deadlines.
Feedback from our customers suggests they see this revised approach as more realistic.
Rest assured, we’ll keep our clients updated on our process and progress.
Closing thoughts
Blueprint Two represents a critical step forward for the market, and while the journey has had its challenges, it’s vital for the future of the sector.
At gpm, we’re committed to supporting these changes and doing our part to drive the programme forward.
