Making an Impact Together: gpm partners with OnHand

gpm’s First Volunteering Day with OnHandA Day on the Farm

Last month, the gpm team swapped the keyboard for the countryside – spending the day at Stepney City Farm for our first volunteering day as part of our new partnership with OnHand, the B Corp-certified social and eco impact platform.

From weeding and sweeping (and yes, even picking up a bit of donkey poo!) to meeting the farm’s animals and helping with their upkeep, it was a brilliant day spent together, making a small difference in our local community.

    As Sharon put it:

“I loved our day at Stepney City Farm – it helped that it was sunny, but it really inspired me. I left wanting to open a city farm in my part of Sout East London!”

    Why We’ve Partnered with OnHand

Through OnHand, our team can now take part in a wide range of volunteering and impact activities – from mentoring young people and environmental clean-ups to supporting community projects and sustainability actions – all while tracking our collective impact through the OnHand platform.

The platform makes it simple to fit volunteering around busy schedules, offering both in-person and virtual opportunities, plus a live leaderboard that celebrates the team’s contributions. Geoff currently leads the charge, with his dedication to the Scouts earning top points!

    Small Actions, Big Impact

It’s been inspiring to see how the team have embraced the initiative:

Sarah Tilbury rediscovered her commitment to giving blood and joined a national health research programme in the process.

Sarah Carpenter found new ways to donate locally and is planning to volunteer at a food kitchen over Christmas.

Geoff has been logging his existing volunteering hours, plus small sustainable actions like reducing wash temperatures and paying it forward.

Each story reminds us that small, consistent actions can create a ripple effect of good.

    Looking Ahead

With OnHand, we’re making it easier for everyone at gpm to give back – whether that’s through a team volunteering day or simple, everyday acts that add up to real impact.

A huge thank you to Stepney City Farm for hosting us and to OnHand for helping us kick things off.
